Every charter school creates Strategic Plans every few years, but those Plans rarely if ever help the school to achieve its goals. Most of the time, they just end up gathering dust, to be replaced by the next Plan. But in this session we’ll say goodbye to worthless Plans and introduce our proven Five Step Planning Method. In this workshop format, we will explore data-based SMART goal setting, discuss key action area pillars to support the goals, identify ways to meaningfully include all constituent groups, link accountability to the goals, and brainstorm data sources to monitor progress.
