Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any teachers on staff at School Frontiers?
Yes! We have 4 former teachers and a current community college professor on staff.
What types of K-12 student assessments has School Frontiers worked with?
We work with a wide variety of assessments and tools already in use at schools, including i-Ready, IXL, LinkIt, Aimsweb, NWEA/MAP, Amplify, and many other nationally recognized measures. School Frontiers also works with curriculum aligned materials designed by a publisher and in-house created diagnostics and benchmarking instruments. The way we approach our projects with each school is very unique. We are looking to strengthen and improve the schools internal systems, not sell one product or solution that may not fit with a school’s model.
When can my school expect to see increased state assessment proficiency results if we partner with School Frontiers for a School Performance & MTSS Coaching service?
We have seen results achieved in as short as a year from project implementation but two years provides additional measures for growth.
Does School Frontiers sell software intervention programs for K-12 schools?
Not currently. School Frontiers provides schools with human capital. We discover new ways to open up learning opportunities for students, teachers, and school administrators through the use of data, research, and innovation. We take a lot of pride in designing customized support and coaching for each and every client. Check out our service pages for further descriptions on what problems we can help your school with!
Why is the School Frontiers mascot a Bison?
Our Bison mascot, Dr. Frontier, was chosen to represent our core values of strength and renewal. Bison are a “keystone” species, vital to the restoration of American ecosystems, just as School Frontiers is intentional in restoring the strength, quality and diversity of American public education. Our work is centered on fostering the development of sustainable and ever-improving school cultures, building systems that embed teaching and learning in the strength of their community. We also donate 2% of our profits to Bison restoration projects in the American midwest.
